I have lived in Sag Harbor and photographed the raw beauty of the East End of Long Island for almost 25 years. That natural beauty challenges me each day to share these wonderful visions with others – From my eye to yours, and from my studio to your home.
Great images can make seeing “eye to eye” an almost spiritual experience. These images start even before I bring camera to eye. They stop me in my tracks - or my boat in its wake - and compose themselves on their own, organically. Their purity drives me to capture this beauty as naturally as possible, with only minimal post-production editing. I try as hard as possible to have the viewer see what I saw. A great image deserves no less, as do my client’s eyes (and walls).
I come to the landscape world as a nationally published fly-fishing photographer, where I learned that 90% of success is showing up. This is no less true for landscape photography. As the saying goes, “Neither snow nor rain….” so I always show up.
You are welcome to enjoy my fishing work as well, at www.jimlevisonphoto.com
The Hamptons are part of the East End of Long Island, comprising a group of villages and hamlets in the towns of Southampton and East Hampton, which together form the South Fork of Long Island in Suffolk County, New York.
The Hamptons form a popular seaside resort and one of the historical summer colonies of the northeastern United States which I have captured in striking photographs to beautify your residence, summer cottage or corporate space.
